đLet's write together!
Online workshop on 18th December | New Year's Co-Writing Club | 1-1 Mentoring

Aloha, dear writerly writer friend!
I trust youâre well and writing with fierce enthusiasm this bright November morning! Iâm already on my second coffee and Iâm in creative planning mode, putting the final touches on the workshop that Iâm excited to bring you on Thursday 18th December 7-9pm [UK time]: The Gifts.
Itâs going to be a juicy creative writing workshop with provocations to inspire new writing around the theme of gifts - the tangible, the hidden, the unexpected, as well as the physical exchanges of presents wrapped with bows. Weâll be exploring the gifts youâve given, the ones that Santa failed to deliver, the unwanted gifts, the hidden talents, the secret and the psychic gifts and everything else that comes to your mind when you think about the whole gifty business.
Everyone is welcome - whether youâve a pile of published work to your name or you havenât written more than a to-do list this year. Iâll support you in finding your voice and exploring the theme in your notebooks. Thereâll be a chance to share your words if you wish (but absolutely no obligation).
Spaces are limited so youâll be able to see all participants on your Zoom Screen and tickets are offered on a sliding scale - pick the ticket that suits your pocket. I look forward to writing with you!
Next up in January is the New Yearâs Co-Writing Club (formerly known as Writing Bootcamp*). Weâll be starting on Monday 12th January and writing together in the WriteClub Zoom Room for six whole weeks. You can join 60 minute co-writing sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30pm plus Fridays and Sundays 10-11am [UK time]. Join in as many or as few as youâd like and work on whatever is alive for you at that moment. Some people bring their novels, some bring their journals, others work with the weekly prompt that will be winging its way from my actual brain to your inbox each Monday.
Tickets start at ÂŁ29 plus thereâs the option to add on a discounted 1-1 mentoring session during which Iâll take a look at up to 2500 words of your writing and offer you honest, critical feedback to help you sharpen up your sentences and make your writing even more marvellous.
In other news, booking is now open for the 6-week Whatâs Your Story? course starting Thursday 16th April 2026. Click here for details and booking.
Youâre also welcome to apply for a place on the 12 week Write Your Novel course which starts on Tuesday 14th April 2026. Please email me at info@writeclub.org.uk for more information about the application process.
Phew. Thatâs it for now, folks. Iâll be in touch with writerly encouragement and tips very soon!
Big love,
Alison x
PS If youâd like a prompt right now, or a list of places to submit your work, or if youâd just like to show a little support and gratitude for WriteClub, please do join as a paid subscriber! Thank you so much. I appreciate you.
*Rebrand due to concerns about connotations of strict regimes and shouty sergeant majors. Which I cannot offer!
